This Viberg T.Moro TPR Horsebutt Service Boot is built on the 2040 last andequipped with a Ridgeway Sole. The leather comes from the Maryam Tannery in Italy and has the TPR finishing, which gives it a lustrous glaze and gives it more vibrancy than otherwise. These boots have some very light and subtle grain, primarily visible on the upper/shaft, while the rest of the boot is fairly consistent; a great pair for those who love a pair with more consistency across the whole boot. The color on theseT.Moro TPR Horsebutt is a dark brown with a grey cast to it, sort of reminiscent of Color 1071 in Calf and Horsebutt.
The Service Boot is based off their original model, first produced in 1931, and ultimately became a standard pattern and style for many countries during WWII as their standard issue military boot.
Sizing: The Viberg 2040 Last is based on the Munson last with a wider toe box (E width) and a slight toe bump. While the toe box is wider than the 2030, the 2040 Last does have a narrow heel and waist due to the intended anatomical design. We generally recommend sizing down 1 from your Brannock size; or taking the same size as you do in your 2030 or 1035 Service Boots. However, if you have a voluminous heel/waist, you may find that you need to size up 0.5 from your typical 2030 or 1035 Service Boot.
